The purpose of the ASI Student Research Grant Application is to provide financial support for undergraduate and graduate students at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), for their academic research and creative projects. • 1. General Information: Provide Campus Wide ID, full name, and contact information.
• 2. Academic Information: Include college, major, year in school, GPA, campus lab location (if applicable), and faculty advisor information.
• 3. Total Amount Requested: Specify the total amount of funding requested from ASI, in increments of $50.
• 4. Research Abstract: Explain the research in layperson's terms, including needs statement, objectives, expected outcomes, ASI funds request, research site, and other factors.
• 5. Expenditure Pages: Complete the budget/vendor spreadsheet, including vendor names, item names, quantities, descriptions, and justifications.
• 6. Faculty Recommendation Letter: The letter should be prepared on department letterhead, addressing applicant's qualifications and research benefits.
• 7. Special Considerations: Acknowledge any special considerations, such as environmental impact, foreign work, historic/cultural sites, human subjects, vertebrate animals, hazardous materials, etc.

Failing to submit the application before the deadline will result in non-funding. Ensure you meet all requirements and gather necessary documents to avoid disqualification.
